Summary:
Coverage is defined as the percentage of eligible active patients, at a particular point in time, who have a reported result in the previous 12 months. Ineligible patients include those who have no perception of light in both eyes (are completely blind). Inactive patients include those who are under hospital eye service care, or who have chosen to ‘opt-out’ of eye screening during the period. The GP clusters refer to the practice the person is registered with, not where they live or where they were screened.
