Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Network of Practice

What is the HIA Network of Practice?

WHIASU coordinates a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) Network of Practice, which aims to support professional development in HIA by bringing professionals together to learn, share practice, and further develop knowledge and skills.

It is an open space for colleagues both internally and externally to Public Health Wales (PHW), where we encourage members to share their work, explore challenges and opportunities in HIA and ask for advice from others in the field. We host sessions four times a year, with the focus changing every time to suit different needs.

Why join the HIA Network?

It provides colleagues with an opportunity to connect with others working in the same space and to seek guidance from experts in the field of HIA. Each event features a different theme, allowing members to join sessions that match their interests, preferences, and needs. Most importantly, these events offer valuable opportunities for members to build experience, expand their knowledge and skills, and share what they learn with others.
