This report explores the economic importance of the healthcare sector to the Welsh economy through modelling its economic contribution to the wider economy.
The economic model explored the following factors: economic output, population income, value added imports, and employment.
The findings suggest the Welsh healthcare sector has an above average contribution in four of the explored economic aspects of the economy, according to its impact on the surrounding economic ecosystem.
