Behavioural Science Community for Wales
The Behavioural Science Community for Wales seeks to increase the routine application of behavioural science throughout the public health system, to improve health and well-being in Wales.
The Behavioural Science Community for Wales has hundreds of colleagues from higher education institutions, Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, health boards, local authority, WLGA, and Third Sector, other behavioural science units and researchers in the UK also participate.
The Community exists to improve conversation, connection, collaboration and capability amongst all of you in using and doing behavioural science for better health in Wales (and beyond).
The Community has quarterly events that offer a mix of expert talks, training, workshops and networking space, both online and in-person. There is a LinkedIn, closed group you can get access to. This is all designed for and with our Community to:
- Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, expertise, experiences, and learning
- Enable the sharing of data, intelligence, and insights
- Identify common challenges / shared goals where behavioural science could support achievement of desired outcomes
- Enable connections and collaborations on behavioural science projects
- Provide access to training and development opportunities to enhance behavioural science skills and knowledge
- Facilitate access to behavioural science advice, guidance, and expertise
- Identify and disseminate notable practice
- Support the co-production of behavioural science tools and resources
The Community is a part of the UK-wide, established Behavioural Science and Public Health Network.
As a member you can help us shape how and with whom we work to enable the routine use of behavioural science for better health in Wales.
You will also get access useful information about advances in behavioural science, thoughts and reflections from leaders in the field or useful resources to apply behavioural science, in our quarterly Bitesize BeSci e-bulletin.
Some of our events reach capacity early, so joining the Community is a great way to make sure you don’t miss out.
