Dental public health

Dental Public Health is a specialty of dentistry which provides strategic system leadership aiming to improve the oral health of the population, including reduction of oral health inequalities. This includes leading the national oral health improvement programme for children, Designed to Smile and the national programme to improve mouthcare in nursing and care homes, Gwên am Byth. The remit of Dental Public Health includes the creation and dissemination of oral health information to understand the needs of the population and the planning of dental services.
