What should I do if I notice any changes in my eyesight between screening appointments?

Contact your doctor or optician if you notice any changes in your eyesight.  Do not wait for your next screening appointment.

My diabetes is in ‘remission’, do I need to come for screening?

Yes. Once you have been diagnosed with diabetes you will always be invited for diabetic eye screening as you will always be at risk of developing diabetic retinopathy.

Do you look for other eye conditions?

No, however we may find other eye conditions that can affect your sight. In this case we may refer you to an eye specialist, or tell your doctor that you may need further tests.
