COVID-19 Training Resources

The COVID-19 e-learning modules are being reviewed and updated by UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) when necessary.

The  COVID-19 vaccination eLearning programme has been written by UKHSA and developed by Health Education England eLearning for Healthcare (eLfH). The programme includes a Core Knowledge session with an assessment, and vaccine-specific sessions with accompanying assessments for each COVID-19 vaccine currently in use.

If an individual has not received any vaccine update training in the past year, it is recommended that they also undertake the administration, storage and legal aspects of eLearning sessions; available in the immunisation programme e-learning course.

For new immunisers, the national minimum standards and core curriculum for immunisation training for registered Health care Practitioners still apply. Trainers should adapt the curriculum (the topics covered, and the level of detail required) to the specific needs of the workforce depending on the nature of their role in terms of delivering the COVID-19 vaccine programme.

This UKHSA – Which COVID-19 vaccine? resource provides information on the presentation, doses and storage of COVID-19 vaccines. Please note all vaccines should be used in accordance with the Green Book and NHS Wales operational guidance.
